Here in the UK, we celebrate Mother’s Day - or Mothering Sunday, as it’s more traditionally known - exactly three weeks before Easter Sunday during Lent.
In days gone by, it was a time when employees were allowed a rare day off work to visit their family home and children would give flowers to their mother.
